TECHnically Speaking | Apple iPad vs. Archos 9 w. Windows 7

Maybe I'm daft, but i HONESTLY dont c the big deal about the iPad...

i mean, dont get me wrong i know Mac > PC all day, but face it, this is clearly no Leopard (or any of its predecessors for that matter), looks more like an oversized iPhone with a stripped-down iPhone OS... i initially thought this was a hoax , but no, the iPad IS an over-sized iPhone..

HERE'S MY QUESTION..

Why aren't devices like the Archos 9 (video below) or 2008's HTC Shift in the limelight the same way as this iPad? Price? Market? Iono, but the Shift is a BEAST, n its like 3 years old! Peep:

• Windows Vista (full, as in, EXACTLY like your laptop)
• USB 2.0 Ports, VGA (connect printers, monitors, wireless mouse, recording software etc)
• 7" multi-touch screen
• slide out and tilt keyboard
• front-camera for video chat 
• built-in mic and speakers for Skype etc
  
• +More
• Oh, and Windows Vista, which means FLASH, duhhhhh 
  

but that is OLD news anyway, 'n kinda pricey, but THIS, just check it out:

 iono, the possibilities of having a PC or Mac OS in your pocket is amazing... get it together Apple, we dont need a HUGE iPhone-thing...

honestly, if i could get somethin' LIKE this w/a fully functional Windows 7 and toss in HDMI port, i'd never buy another "computer" again, if it had a data plan i wouldnt even need a phone
